Parks and Recreation Board Agenda

The Parks and Recreation Board has seven members and makes recommendations to the City Council about acquisition and uses of parkland, sports and recreation facilities and improvements in programs, activities and facilities to meet current and future community needs for the City of Georgetown and its residents. The Board is responsible to and shall act as an advisory body to the Council. All members shall reside in the corporate City limits or extraterritorial jurisdiction of the City of Georgetown. All appointees are encouraged to have backgrounds in youth sports/organizations or adult recreation/activity programs, or have an active interest as a naturalist, in preservation, or in the development of community parks and recreation facilities and programs.

Parks and Recreation Board meet the second Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise specified.
